About Karen
Karen has worked as a Clinical Psychologist since 1996 in Perth metro, regional WA, UK and Melbourne. She has worked in various public and private sectors including private practice (adult mental health and weight loss surgical clinic), Adult Mental Health (Department of Health), juvenile custodial and community centres, and most recently WA Police Force.

Karen has expertise and special interest in working with first responder groups (eg, trauma, stress, relationships, burnout). She also has extensive experience and interest supporting people pre/post bariatric surgery and those with eating/body image disorders. Mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, OCD and stress are treated by current and best practice frameworks including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Schema Therapy.

Karen is an APS (Australian Psychological Society) Board Approved Supervisor and can provide supervision for Clinical Endorsement or for other general individual purposes.
