Over the years, she has gained specialist knowledge and experience in working with children, adolescents and families who have a background of child abuse or trauma, grief and loss, family breakdown or family domestic violence. Jo works with children and adolescents who are having emotional struggles or problems with their behaviour. She also has a keen interest in supporting women and mothers who have been in domestically violent relationships, experienced separation and relaionship breakdown, or dealing with past childhood abuse issues.

Jo sees people individually, or with their carers, or their family, and sometimes in groups. Jo uses different types of therapy depending upon what you need and what suits you best. She uses cognitive-behavioural therapy, helping you learn new coping skills and positive behaviours, mindfulness and meditation in her practice. Jo embraces a genuine compassionate belief in her clients in respecting their individual strengths, inner resources, and creativity for psychological and spiritual growth, and ultimately forging a new way of being with self and others.
Please note that due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the increased need for psychologists, your preferred clinician may or may not be taking new referrals. Contact them to determine if you can be seen and how long you would need to wait. If you cannot be seen or the wait is not suitable, please refer to your GP for alternative options.
